First, you'll see him flying in the air against a backdrop of the Colosseum in Rome. In another video, he's running across the roofs of the white-washed homes in Santorini, Greece. In the China video, he visits the Great Wall of China and there's a segment where he "fights" local martial arts experts and incorporates moves that people who've watched the Jackie Chan movies will recognize.
In other videos, you'll see him jumping off walls and swinging through ancient stone doorways in Machu Picchu, Peru, doing flips in the mean streets of favelas in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and flying off sandstone rocks in Petra, the ancient Nabateaean city in Jordan.
Who is Ryan Doyle?
Ryan Doyle, who comes from Liverpool, England, is a world-class free runner. His free running and parkour skills have made him a two-time winner of the Red Bull Art of Motion free running competition and a cast member of MTV's 2010 Ultimate Parkour Challenge. Sponsored by Red Bull, this athlete has traveled the globe entering parkour contests, and his latest adventure was conquering many Wonders of the World in a unique style. He is also one of the founders of the World Free running and Parkour Federation.
Despite his poor eyesight (he claims he keeps losing eye glasses and is so short sighted that he can barely see where he's going), he's famous for explosive flips, spins and a variety of acrobatic moves. When a teenager, he trained in the Korean martial art of Kuk Sool Won, and has incorporated some of the techniques he learned in his parkour movements.
