Hiking and Fly Fishing as a Family

Destination Resorts offers several packages for families that want to explore the outdoors together. With the Autumn Naturalist package in Jackson Hole, WY, you can go hiking and fly fishing as a family. The Family Adventure package, in Telluride, CO, offers riding and off-road jeep tours.

The Autumn Naturalist package at the Teton Mountain Lodge includes a naturalist-led hike to see and learn about the diverse wildlife in Jackson Hole. Odds are excellent that you’ll see elk (and maybe hear them bugling). The package also includes guided fly-fishing in a drift boat on the Snake River or one of Jackson Hole’s other trout fisheries.

The Family Adventure package includes a four-night stay at the Mountain Lodge at Telluride, plus four passes to the family’s choice of activities, such as a two-hour horseback ridge with Roudy, Telluride’s favorite cowboy, or a half-day 4X4 off-road excursion. The package also includes a day pass for children ages 5-12 to join Telluride Kid’s Camp for nature excursions, hikes and other outdoor activities.

When to Go?

The Autumn Naturalist package is available Sept. 15-Oct. 31, 2006. The Family Adventure package is valid July 1-Oct. 15, 2006.
