Cambodian residents live close to the land, the water and their temples. Angkor, an archeological national park that stretches across 400 square meters, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors come to see the different capitols and temples from the Khmer empire, especially Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm. A fishing village nearby embodies life on the river for many Cambodians.
A link to the National Geographic magazine article "Angkor - Why an ancient civilization collapsed" is located in the description with the image of Angkor Wat, reflected in a nearby pool or water.
