The 2013 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue was filmed on all seven continents. The locations are spectacular, and if you look beyond the gorgeous bodies you'll see the magazine picked places you might just want to visit.

Here are some of the locales, and some of the adventure travel companies that can take you there.


The photos were taken on Hayman Island, which is part of the Great Barrier Reef. You'll find the experience less luxe but the diving is fantastic at Lady Elliot Island, which lies at the beginning of the Great Barrier Reef.


The Sports Illustrated group went to the Antarctica with Abercrombie & Kent. You can also explore this region with several other companies that offer expedition cruises.

Chile, South America

Rapa Nui - or Easter Island as it's more commonly known - is a long flight off the coast of Chile but everyone who's been there says looking at the massive stone statues says it's an amazing experience. explora, a company that offers special trips to Easter Island and has lodges in Patagonia, too the SI team there and can take you, too.

China, Asia

Many adventure travel companies can take you to China, with stops from Shanghai to Beijing and Guilin and to see the terracotta warriors. The views from some part of the Great Wall of China are similar to the background in some of the photos of the Guilin shoot.

Las Vegas, North America
