A stay in one of the rustic cabins at Evergreen Lodge is a good antidote to too much city life. The lodge is located near the western edge of Yosemite National park, so there’s easy access to hiking, biking, fly fishing and rock climbing. Evergreen Lodge is actually a complex of 70 cabins in the woods, a restaurant and a staff that is extremely knowledgeable about the park.
In the fall there’s a variety of packages and through the lodge’s recreational program guests can add on additional guided hiking, biking and fly-fishing trips, or a geocaching experience. If you prefer to explore the park independently the staff will give you directions, maps and other information.
The Fall Bike to Waterfalls package includes an easy 15-mile bike ride to the falls, so it’s great for families. (Participants are driven back to the lodge.) The package includes two nights lodging, an all-day guided bike trip to waterfalls (bike rental included) and a box lunch.
The two-night Fall Ultimate Yosemite Getaway package includes lodging, breakfast, an all-day guided naturalist hike or bike trip, followed by two one-hour massages and dinner.

The Fall Bike to Waterfalls package is available Sept. 7-Oct. 24, 2007. The Fall Ultimate Yosemite Getaway package is available Sept. 7-Dec. 20, 2007.
What’s It Going to Cost Me?
The Fall Bike to Waterfalls package goes from $239 per night for couples weekdays to $269 per night weekends. Family packages go from $325 per night weekdays and $385 per night weekends. The Fall Ultimate Yosemite Getaway package goes from $339-$439 per night for two people.
