"No job. No house. No car. No clue. Me in a nutshell. Might as well hit the road, right? So far: Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Nepal, Bangladesh. Boomerang: Back to Nepal."
Such is the status of Rich Plumadore, who is in his mid-30s, speaks Korean, has a law degree, was in the U.S. Army, and afterward worked in Bagdad. Now, he's on the road indefinitely, and some of his blogs about exploring the world on a shoestring budget are entertaining and enlightening to would-be adventure travelers.
How long does Rich Plumadore intend to travel: "Good question. I should probably go home and get a job but the market is terrible so why waste my time, right? If the money runs out I will have to pack it in but I think I can stretch things for at least another year." So, we have at least several more months of watching his adventurous wanderings through exotic lands.
Why does he love traveling? "Not knowing what the next day will bring is a great way to live. Of course, there are ups and downs but that rings true for everyone I suppose. Maybe someday I'll settle down and grow weary of this but for now the adventure continues..."
