Adventure Travel Blog Site - The Adventure Blog

This Blog Gives Links to Web Sites Covering Ongoing Extreme Adventures

By , About.com Guide

The Adventure Blog's author, Kraig Becker, does a terrific job of scouring the Web then passing links on to us, so we have easy access to a grab bag of extreme adventures. Updates on Mount Everest climbs, videos of extreme paddling, and tales of walking the length of the Amazon and trekking in Mongolia, are just a sampling of the adventures he scouts out, so the rest of us can go straight to the sources.

Becker is a true outdoor enthusiast who enters adventure races, has climbed Kilimanjaro, and spends time mountain biking, trail running and kayaking. Based in Texas, he wraps his adventures and writing the blog around his day job as an IT manager.

Becker put a wonderful kayaking video by DKayaking on his Web site. The video begins with a single drop of water plopping on the screen, then segues into some incredible kayaking runs on extreme whitewater in rivers around the world, all back by music that's synced to the kaykers' twists, rolls and turns. The film won the best editing and best public awards at the fifth French Kayak Film Festival. Here's where you can link directly to the Raindrop Kayaking video.
