International Expeditions
Since 1980, International Expeditions has focused on ecotourism and natural travel trips. International Expeditions offers in-depth itineraries designed to explore the soul of a region, through behind-the-scenes access to places and experiences. The group leaders are either naturalists or historians, sometimes both. Most groups are small, with specific trips to South America or Africa having limits of 10-to-18 people, depending upon the actual destination.
The Boss Pitch: Why Travel With International Expeditions?
"Theres good reason why, for more than 27 years, our guests have enjoyed countless life-enriching experiences with us," says Maggie Hart, president of International Expeditions. "Our mission is to offer unique expeditions that stimulate an interest in, develop an understanding of, and create an appreciation for our Earth. We care about every detail, from making each itinerary as fulfilling as possible to seeing that everyone is well looked after during their journey. We take our guests deeper into the rainforests than anyone else, sail aboard the best-outfitted expedition ships and bring guests close to fascinating wildlife on off-the-beaten-path journeys. We work hard to open up new and innovative possibilities while continuously giving back to the places we visit. Most of all, IEs guests travel with some of the finest guides on the planet. We are a world leader in nature travel for one reason above all others our superb naturalists and historians who accompany trips, many of whom are legends in their right."
