Bredeson Outdoor Adventures specializes in culturally oriented, guided and self-guided hiking and snowshoeing trips in North America, Europe and beyond. In the winter, the company offers snowshoe day trips in Vermont, Maine and Connecticut, as well as overnight snowshoeing trips in Europe. In the summer, there are trips to such interesting locales as Norway, and the Haute Route, which takes hikers through the Alps in Italy, France and Switzerland. While there are not a lot of formally arranged trips on set dates, the company offers privately guided trips year-round, and will set up self-guided trips for travelers.

The company founder, Deborah Lewis, has been guiding professionally for 14 years and has been leading tours and hikes as a volunteer (especially in the Appalachian Mt. Club) for 30 years. She now operates her own tours (aka Bredeson Outdoor Adventures). She personally guides many of the tours, co-guides a few trips, and arranges for local guides to lead entirely on their own.
