American Idol Runner-Up Adam Lambert Was Inspired by Burning Man

In a Rolling Stone magazine cover story just released, American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert said he was inspired to audition for the singing competition after he had a "psychedelic experience" while attending the Burning Man festival. Was he one of the 48,000 who went to Burning Man in 2008 and experienced a temporary escape their normal lives?
Trying to define the annual Burning Man gathering is like trying to describe what an art festival designed around a bonfire looks like. The 2009 Burning Man gathering is August 31- September 27 at Black Rock City’s Black Rock Desert in Nevada. Tickets go fast and must be purchased in advance.

I had heard of Burning Man but never really knew what it was all about. Oddly enough, I was just reading about it and flipped through channels while a documentary was on about it. VERY COOL!! Way more than I thought it was. I won’t be going this year but I’m thinking a pilgramage to the desert is in order for next summer. Meet me there ADAM!!!
