Gear Up for 50,000 Miles of Pedal-Friendly Pavement
Friday December 19, 2008
A nationwide road map geared for bicyclists is well underway. Check out this article, which outlines the U.S. route that will link 50,000 miles of pedal-friendly pavement. It's written by Calvin Woodward for the Associated Press, and appears in the Denver Post. The American Association of State Highways and Transportation is working with the Adventure Cycling Association and other groups to create the map. The goal is to link many scenic highways that have lower traffic volume, so bicyclists can enjoy the scenery and the ride.
